Italy international Patrick Cutrone has earned the praises of Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo who exclaimed that the former AC Milan forward has an impressive work ethic for a young player.

According to Birmingham Live, Cutrone who joined Wolves from AC Milan for a fee in the region of £20million has been a growing fan-favourite and has earned the respect of his teammates in the dressing room.

The 21-year-old has managed to make a lasting, positive impression on the manager and fans alike despite scoring one goal in his first 14 appearances for the club - there is no doubt that more is yet to come from the Italian.

Nuno was asked in an interview if Cutrone brings a different flair and excitement to first-choice duo Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota and he said: "Yes."

"His characteristics, he’s a fighter, and we appreciate it,” added Nuno. “He’s been working very well for the team. He’s a player that brings a lot of energy when he goes on the pitch.

“You have to take advantage of it while expecting him to improve – keep growing as a player.”
