Copper Queens impress Bruce Mwape

Zambia Women's national team head coach Bruce Mwape has expressed happiness with his teams' performance in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Botswana.

Mwape told reporters in a post-match interview that his side played as a team and created a lot of chances. Grace Chanda was the hero of the day netting a brace to guide Zambia to a 2-0 win on the day an nd 3-0 on aggregate to dump the Mares out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics race.

"I am very happy with the performance of the team. They played as a team. They were able to press and create chances. We came here to attack and am happy with the performance," he said.

" Each time play there is a difference, The team keeps improving. They have gathered a lot of experience as they have played a lot of games. From COSAFA, AFCON qualifiers and the AFCON tournament itself where we played experienced teams. We learned a lot."

"They are a good side especially when defending. The only problem is when attacking, The need individual confidence they will surely pick up, " he added.

Zambia will face the Harambee Starlets in the fourth round. The first leg is set for 4th November in Kenya with the return leg to be played eight days later.

The winner over the two legs will face either Cameroon or Ivory Coast for a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with the loser booking a date with Chile in a playoff.
