Arsenal manager Unai Emery is overly impressed by Mattéo Guendouzi's rise, following his bright start to the new season.
The 20-year-old' rise has been one of the stories of the season so far, and Emery is taking pride in his growth and development at the club.
The Frenchman's near-perfect form has seen him receive a call-up to the national team, an impressive fete for a player who was playing in France's league two 18 months ago.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, Emery further said the youngster's rise can be a lesson to other players keen on making the jump.
"Matteo is a very good example for how we can develop our young players, with new young players or the spirit within the players who are here now," said the coach.
"He started last year, at the beginning, with some doubts about his adaptation after he came from Lorient in the second division in France,"
"He was very young, but his ambition and his wish to adapt very quickly, as well as his quality, were very good for us. He started playing and training with us, and after, his progress and development during the season was amazing,"
"But also, we were working with him on some details we needed to improve with him - his food, his body, how we can work to make it stronger, his arms, his body, his legs,"
Guendouzi has featured in all of the club's four matches this campaign and was particularly instrumental in helping the side come from two goals down to draw 2-2 draw against Tottenham in their last Premier League match.
They next travel to Watford on Sunday.
