Six overseas-based players are expected to join the Super Falcons ahead of the 2020 Olympics Women’s Football Tournament qualifying match against Algeria.
The match, which is the first of two legs, will be played in Blida on August 28.
30 home-based players are already undergoing drilling in Abuja ahead of the game, but coach Thomas Dennerby is looking to include some pros as he hopes to qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
"No fewer than six overseas-based professionals are being expected to join the team before they fly out to Algeria on August 25,” Nigeria Football Federation spokesman, Ademola Olajire, said in a statement.
The Algeria Football Federation has scheduled the match for the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida, just outside Algiers, to kick off at 7pm.
