Chelsea ace Pedro has believes Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is the only one on the same level with Liverpool star Virgil Van Dijk.
The Spaniard is expected to be in the Blues' team that will take on the Reds in the finals of the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday night.
Speaking ahead of the match, Pedro, who has played with Ramos in the Spain national team believes the two men are alike and possess special qualities that set them apart from the rest.
“They are very good central defenders, probably at this time at the top,” said Pedro as quoted by Talksport.
“Sergio Ramos is very good. I know him very well: great defender, great with the ball. Van Dijk is also the same: so strong, very good in the air, scores goals. Two big players,"
“He’s in a good moment. Last season with Liverpool, he had a great season winning the Champions League and the best player in the Premier League. He’s in a good moment and he’s a good defender,"
Klopp and company will be eager to lift yet another trophy going into the new season, while Lampard and Chelsea will be keen on putting the 4-0 defeat at Manchester United behind them and register their first win.
