Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez scored the match winner as Chile edged Ecuador 2-1 in the Copa America hence sealing a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Sanchez, who had ended a barren five-month spell by scoring in Monday’s 4-0 win against Japan, put Chile ahead early in the second half, expertly guiding a bouncing cross into the net with one touch. The goal now means that he has scored the same amount of goals as he did for Manchester United last season.
