Cosafa U20: Numba stands firm behind his team

Zambia National team head coach Numba Mumamba says he does not regret graduating the U17 national team to play the U20 COSAFA U20 Championships despite starting on a losing note. 

The Zanaco head coach believes that progression is key and that the boys accounted well for themselves in the match despite going down by two goals to Ugandans in the opener on Wednesday 6 December. 

No regrets

-I don't regret using this team. I believe there must be progression. Most of the players from the U20 National team are now above 20. The boys have done a good job, They resisted an experience good Uganda team and accounted well for themselves, Numba said.

-I would like to congratulate my colleague for a job well done. Am disappointed with the result but the boys tried their best, he added
