Liverpool duo of Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez have been ruled out of England's final 2020 European Championship clash against Kosovo with injuries.
The Liverpool skipper came into the squad with a viral infection that has not fully cleared and missed the 7-0 win over Montenegro on Thursday.
Henderson's club team-mate Gomez clashed knees with Kieran Trippier in training on Friday and was hoping the impact injury would settle down, but he remains in a lot of pain and was unable to train.
Gomez was the center of attention after he was booed following his substitution in the 70th minute for Mason Mount in the win over Montenegro.
The two have returned to Liverpool, meaning that Gareth Southgate will head to Pristina on Saturday with a 23-man squad.
The game is dead rubber as England have already sealed a place in the Euro 2020 while Kosovo are already out of contention for the automatic places.
