Argentina came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw with Germany in a friendly match staged at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night.
Germany dominated the first half as goals from Serge Gnabry and Kai Havertz saw Joachim Low's men head into halftime with a 2-0 lead. However, spirited Argentina controlled much of second half and came from two goals behind to claim a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from substitutes Lucas Alario and Lucas Ocampos.
Gnabry ⚽ 15'
Germany got the opener through Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry. It was a good nick from Kolstermann, who takes advantage of a poor touch from Correa and getting down the right before sweeping a cross into the area. It got to Gnabry, whose first touch took the ball over the top of the three defenders surrounding him and he gets to it first to slot home.
Havertz ⚽ 22'
It was another goal for Germany and another sensational quick turnover from Germany. Klostermann picked the ball up before heading towards goal with pace, before picking out Gnabry on the right. It was simple from there really, he crossed into the area and Havertz was waiting - completely unmarked - to sweep home for his first international goal.
Alario ⚽ 65'
Alario scored a wonderful header, bringing Argentina back into the game. They've had much of the play in the second half and deserved a goal. It was the two substitutes who linked up, with Acuna whipping a lovely cross into the area and Alario fired the ball home with a fierce header.
Ocampos ⚽ 85'
After beautiful display in the second half, Argentina finally equalized a well-deserved equalizer and it was the subs making the impact. It was a lazy pass from Serdar that allowed Parades to nip the ball into the feet of Alario. He drove into the area before picking out Ocampos on his left. He then curled an effort goalwards, and it took a nick off Can on the way through to beat Ter Stegen.
Germany will take on Estonia on Sunday 13th before facing Belarus three days later in a Euro Cup Qualification while Argentina will entertain Ecuador on Sunday 13th in yet again another friendly match.
