Cristiano Ronaldo explains gesture to Atletico Madrid fans after thrilling draw

Following his hand gesture towards Atletico Madrid fans in the 2-2 draw, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has explained his actions.

This comes after Ronaldo mocked Atletico during last season’s last 16 tie, mimicking Diego Simeone’s ‘cojones’ gesture after inspiring the Italians to a remarkable 3-0 comeback victory to advance.

The Portuguese was welcomed by a stormy crowd and after narrowly missing his chance in the dying minutes he turned to the Atletico crowd showing a gesture of pinching his fingers together in an upward motion.

After the match Ronaldo was asked what he meant by the gesture and simply replied, "learn, you (Atletico) have to learn."

Stefan Savic and Hector Herrera canceled out Juan Cuadrado and Blaise Matuidi’s goals as Maurizio Sarri’s side coughed up a two-goal lead.
