After Roberto Firmino asked Sadio Mane not to copy his goal celebration, the Senegalese as responded by insisting that he will stick to the celebration.
Mane unleashed his new celebration for the first time after scoring in Liverpool's Uefa Super Cup win over Chelsea last month. The former Southampton forward's sweeping hands gesture is similar to one Firmino did years ago with the Brazilian taking to Instagram to warm Mane of copying his celebration, "Sadio, don’t copy me please."
In an interview with Complex, Mane insisted that the celebration is here to stay, "Each player in this squad, if you want to keep this celebration as your own it’s quite difficult because we score quite a lot. Bobby did that celebration two or three years ago, and I think he has had quite a few celebrations since.
"My celebration now is what I’m going to carry on doing throughout the year. I know that Bobby will be copying me again soon, you’ll see!"
