Harambee Stars striker Olunga calls out for fans’ support

Michael Olunga has called out on fans to support the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars when they take on Uganda in an international friendly match on Sunday.

The Kashiwa Reysol forward has been appointed the captain ahead of the clash following the absence of Victor Wanyama. Having seen the team perform well due to fans’ support during the AFCON, Olunga is now asking for the supporters to rally behind Stars during the weekend’s friendly match.

“Uganda is an experienced team that managed to reach the last 16 at this year’s AFCON. Our team is equally ready and I’m confident we will get a positive result,” said Olunga.

“I would like to thank our fans for their support in Egypt, and I urge them to also come in large numbers in the friendly match against Uganda on Sunday,” he added.

The match has been scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the MISC Kasarani, starting at 4 pm.

Tickets are set to retail at KES 200 all-round access and will be sold opposite Safari Park Hotel, at Ngomongo Police Station and outside Kasarani stadium’s Gate 12. Gates will open at 11 am while ticket sales will kick off at 7 am on match day.
