Pep Guardiola confirms two players will start against West Ham on Wednesday

Ahead of their opening pre-season game against West Ham United on Wednesday 17th July, Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has revealed that Rodri and Angelino will start in the Premier League Asia Trophy clash.

Rodri made the switch from Atletico Madrid to City this transfer window after they paid his 70-million-euro release clause to sign him on a five-year contract. Angelino re-signed for City recently after being sold last season to PSV Eindhoven following loan spells in USA, Spain and the Netherlands.

Speaking ahead of the match against West Ham, Guardiola confrimed the duo will start, "He’s (Rodri) a young player who is going to be important for the next five or six years. The first 10 days have been really good, he will play his first game tomorrow. He and Angelino will play tomorrow."
