Manchester United duo Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial did not take part in the team’s training session on their pre-season tour of Australia at the WACA in Perth.
Lukaku is keen to leave Old Trafford this summer having been linked with a move to Inter Milan with the club confirming the pair is doing ‘alternative gym-based training’. However, it is understood the two took part in Thursday morning session.
Sources close to Lukaku said the Belgian has a ‘little problem’ and the feeling is it would be better for him not to risk aggravating the injury. Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has flown to London this week to meet United officials in an attempt to thrash out a deal for Lukaku.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to have asked Lukaku to stay beyond the transfer window but the £75million center-forward has felt marginalized since the Norwegian’s appointment in December.
