Zambia national team has returned back home following completion of their 10-day Mediterranean tour. The tour was an invitation from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation which hosted the Copper Bullets from June 8 to 17th as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two countries back in 2017.
Morocco, Ivory Coast and Cameroon were using the friendly games against the 2012 AFCON Champions as preparation for the 2019 Egypt Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off this evening.
The Copper Bullets were led by Beston Chambeshi who was using the games as part of the preparation for the U23 AFCON qualifier against Congo Brazzaville scheduled for September 5th.
Zambia played reigning African champions Cameroon on June 9 in Madrid losing 2-1 before beating Morocco 3-2 in Marrakech on June 16th and then the team concluded its assignment with a match against the Elephants of Ivory Coast losing 4-1.
