France make light work of Andorra in a 4-0 thumping
France regained top spot in Group H of the Euro 2020 qualifiers after a 4-0 thumping of Andorra in a clash staged at the National Stadium in Andorra.
Les Blues were seeking to bounce back from their 2-0 loss at the hands of Turkey last time out while Andorra were looking to end their run of three straight wins against an opposition like France who are the current world champions.
It did not take France long to flex their muscles as Kylian Mbappe skipped into the penalty area before dinking a shot over the goalkeeper to give the world champions the lead in the 11th minute.
Ben Yedder goal
Wissam Ben Yedder bagged a goal in his first start for France at the stroke of the half-hour mark tapping in from close range to break some spirited resistance from Andorra by their standards.
France got their third with the final kick of first half when a high, looping cross from the left was acrobatically scissor-kicked into the net, off the goalkeeper, by Florian Thauvin.
At the stroke of the hour mark, Kurt Zouma headed from close range after Andorra failed to deal with a corner as the on-loan Everton defender scored his first international goal.
