Paul Pogba speaks on his first impression of Sir Alex Ferguson
Despite a reported burst up that led to his departure at Manchester United, Paul Pogba has revealed that he had "very, very good impression" of Sir Alex Ferguson.
The French midfielder initially joined United's academy from Le Havre in 2009 and spent three years at the club before joining Juventus in 2012. There was a reported misunderstanding between Pogba and Ferguson after the Scottish manager recalled Paul Scholes from retirement.
In an interview with The Times, Pogba was revealed that he was amazed by how much interest Ferguson showed in United's youth teams, "The first time he came to me I didn't really understand because of his accent. I couldn't really speak that good English. I was very shy. The boss was talking to us like his sons.
"When I was in the academy he used to come and watch some games. He was really into youth players. He made us train with the first team and stuff like that so I had a very, very good impression [of him]."
