Onyekuru puts on impressive display as Galatasaray go top of Super Lig table
Henry Onyekuru has continued to be at the top of his game with an impressive display for Galatasaray on Sunday, May 4.
The Everton loanee went home for his side who handed rivals Besiktas a 2-0 defeat at the Ali Sami Yen Spor stadium, making it his 13th league goal of the season.
Former Manchester City midfielder Fernando got the other goal for the Lions.
After the impressive victory, Galatasaray are now on top of the log with 63 points from 32 matches and have a superior goal difference than Istanbul Basaksehir who have the same points in second place.
However, the thrilling run came to an in the 83rd minute when Onyekuru was replaced by Martin Linnes at injury time.
The 21-year-old made the move from Eupen to Everton back in 2017 following heavy links with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester United.
The Super Eagles striker is yet to play a competitive match for The Toffees and has had two spells with Anderlecht and Galatasaray which have both proven to be rather fruitful.
PSG, Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Marseille, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli have been linked with the €40m rated youngster.
