Tanzania giants Simba SC will host La Liga side Sevilla FC in a friendly clash with the match slated for Thursday 23 May at the National Stadium-Dar es Salaam.
The Spanish club will be in Tanzania for soccer clinics for players and coaches this according to information from Simba’s main sponsors.
Sevilla boasts of players such as Jesus Navas, Wissam Ben Yedder, Andre Silva, Pablo Sarabia and many others and will prove a handful for the Tanzania side in a match many players will see as an opportunity to market themselves.
CAF Champions League
Simba go to this game on a back of an impressive outing in the CAF Champions League where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by DR Congo side TP Mazembe.
In the continental journey, they came against Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland), Nkana FC (Zambia), JS Soura (Algeria) and Al Ahly (Egypt).
Sevilla will be the first team from LaLiga and the second team from Europe to visit Tanzania after Everton did so in July 2017 where the soccer lovers got the opportunity to witness Wayne Rooney playing for Everton's first match after 13 years; the game being against Gor Mahia.
