Salzburg name Marco Rose's replacement

Austrian Bundesliga defending Champions, Redbull Salzburg have named 45-year-old american Jesse Marsch as their new head coach starting next summer.

Marsch will take over at the Redbull Arena in the summer of 2019 as head coach of the Austrian giants. He has since signed a three-year deal which will see him stay at the helm of Salzburg till Summer of 2022.


This follows the announcement that Marco Rose will leave the club in the summer after signing a contract with Germany Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The former DC United player is currently assistant coach at German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. As a coach Marsch has been at the helm of two Major League Soccer clubs in Montreal Impact and New York Red Bulls.
