Manchester dominates Futaa's Premier League team of the week

Manchester City fired a loud title statement yesterday with a 6-0 thrashing of Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium. Sergio Aguero makes the cut, but who else is in there?

Burnley 'keeper Tom Heaton has saved 80% of the shots he has faced in the Premier League this season, a hugely impressive number and that was highlighted in their past two wins. Their current unbeaten run of seven matches in the Premier League is the longest in the club's history.

Mr consistency James Milner got the assist for Sadio Mane's opener in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Bournemouth. The ex-Leeds man continues to reinvent himself, now standing in at right-back while Trent Alexander-Arnold recovers from injury. Cardiff captain Sol Bamba has been a giant for his team in the last two weeks, keeping a clean sheet in their win against Bournemouth and scoring the winner at Southampton from centre back. Aymeric Laporte was steady again for Man City, this time playing from his preferred position as the left-sided centre back. Since his debut in August 2017, Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has more assists (11) than any other defender in the league. He notched another one his weekend.

Paul Pogba's rejuvenation has been a huge factor in United's excellent start to life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The flamboyant Frenchman got another brace of goals over the weekend, including a lashed left-footed effort to beat Sergio Rico at his near post.  That's now 25 points out of a possible 27 for United. Bernardo Silva sparkled for City in an attacking midfield role, creating Raheem Sterling's opener and he should have had a second assist when Sergio Aguero missed inexplicably from three yards out. Fernandinho continues to show his importance to the Man City cause as the midfield general who can do a bit of everything. He will need to be replaced sooner rather than later.

With a goal and an assist in United's win at Fulham, Pogba's countryman Anthony Martial also makes the grade here. Man City flyer Raheem Sterling opened and finished the scoring in City's 6-0 rout of Chelsea and he was a constant threat in between minutes 1 and 90. His teammate Sergio Aguero exhibited his world-class goal-scoring ability with a long-range curler, an instinctive half volley and an ice-cool penalty to make it two hat tricks in a row at the Etihad.
