CAF CC: KCCA star ruled out of Congo assignment
KCCA FC has travelled to Congo for the first leg of their CAF Confederations Cup playoff against AS Otoho without their influential midfielder, Jackson Nunda.
The attacking midfielder, who was their top scorer in last year’s CAF Champions League edition with two goals, has been ruled out due to an injury.
“Midfielder Jackson Nunda has been ruled out of the 1st leg of the CAF Confederation Cup 2nd Final 1/16th round tie against AS Otoho away in Congo Brazzaville,” the club revealed.
The play maker sustained a hip injury in their 1-0 win over URA FC in the League on Tuesday.
He joins fellow midfielder Sadam Juma who is also nursing an injury.
The first leg will be played this coming Sunday at the Omnisport Marien Ngouabi stadium in Owando, Congo. The return leg will be hosted on Sunday 20th January at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.
