Confirmed: Arsenal boss rules out permanent signings
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has confirmed the club won't be making any permanent signings during the January transfer window adding that only loan deals will be possible.
Last week Emery said the club is exploring the possibility of signing a winger and a center back due to the upcoming fixture congestion. When Emery took over in the summer he spent more than £70m on new faces and he conceded the January transfer window will be much more economical for the north London side.
Speaking to the press, Emery said, "We cannot sign anyone permanently. Only loan players this January."
Denis Suarez has been linked with a move to the Gunners and Emery also commented on the transfer.
"I do not know his situation," he pointed out.
