Innocent Wafula made his debut for Vipers Sports Club in a crashing 3-0 victory over Onduparaka on Tuesday at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

The club’s interim head coaxh Michael Ouma praised his output despite lasting for only 63 minutes before giving space for Abraham Ndugwa.

“I think he had a good performance,” Ouma rated.

Needs time

Wafula was the club’s first signing in this January window after crossing over from Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

Ouma, who expects a lot from the defender-cum-winger, says he needs more time to gel with the team.

“This being his first game, he will need more time to gel with the rest of the squad. He created a couple of chances and also had attempts at goal. He is a good addition who I think will be important to the team.”
