Express chairman suspends defender over indiscipline cases
When he took over power, the Express FC chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka vowed to deal precisely with the indiscipline cases that were tainting the club’s image.
The lawyer promised not to spare anyone who goes astray from his club members to the fans.
Well on Thursday, he proved his words when he personally signed a letter suspending Julius Ntambi, a defender and club assistant captain over unbecoming behaviour.
Though the letter that Futaa has seen has not explained the actual wrongs that Ntambi committed, Kiwanuka has stated that the player’s conduct has been found wanting.
“In Express Fc’s drive to excellence, discipline in all its facets shall be and remains the fundamental building block,” his letter begins adding that, “Express FC maintains a policy of zero tolerance to indiscipline.”
He then revealed that: “Mr. Julius Ntambi’s conduct has been found wanting in several aspects and is now the subject of investigations. This is therefore to inform the Express Fc family and the entire footballing fraternity that Mr. Julius Ntambi has been suspended indefinitely, investigations into the alleged indiscipline and misconduct are concluded.”
Ntambi joined the Red eagles in January after parting ways with URA FC.
