Mourinho unhappy with Arsenal's diving antics

06 Dec 2018, 15:35

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho accused Arsenal players of ‘diving’ in a bid to kill time during the 2-2 stalemate at Old Trafford on Wednesday 5th December.

Manchester United dug deep to salvage a point in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal as they twice came from behind courtesy of goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. Jose Mourinho looked visibly frustrated as the referee blew for Arsenal's fouls in the latter stages of the game and even went on to kick the railings on the dugout's staircase.

Mourinho noted that Arsenal were playing for a draw with their diving antics, “In the last part of the game was Arsenal wanting the draw, diving, getting the game stopped, waiting for the game to go to the end and was us dead. All the defensive players were dead, all of them physically in trouble, which is obviously normal because of the circumstances.”
