Abraham Ndugwa scored Viper SC’s decisive goal to help the Ugandans march on to the 2018 CAF Champions League Round 1 stage against Al-Merrikh Sporting Club of Sudan.
Ndugwa’s 46th-minute strike in Kitende ensured a 2-2 draw with Dan Sserunkuma’s away goal in the 2-1 loss in Khartoum last doing enough to earn progression.

Vipers now look ahead to meeting Algeria’s Constantine on the weekend of 14-16 December away.
