What Emery told Kolasinac after costly error against Man United
Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac was disconsolate after his error which gifted Manchester United an equalizer and a point during the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, Unai Emery revealed.
Arsenal appeared to be picking an away win thanks to Marcos Rojo's own goal but the Gunners were forced to a draw after Jesse Lingard capitalized on Kolasinac's mistake. Substitute Romelu Lukaku caused pandemonium in the Arsenal defense, rolling Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but as the ball ran loose there appeared to be little danger. And instead of Kolasinac clearing the ball, he opted to take a touch which allowed Lingard to pounce and beat Leno to level the score.
"I am not frustrated. At the end Kolasinac had his head looking down and I said to Sead you had a very good match and you gave us a lot of good circumstances where we could have scored with your actions – these things can happen in defence. These things can happen and above all be positive and learn with this action," said Emery.
Arsenal play hosts to Huddersfield on Saturday 8th at the Emirates.
