Martinez: United midfielder should be fit to face Chelsea

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has said Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini should be fit to face Chelsea over the weekend in a Premier League match.

Fellaini did not feature for Belgium as his side settled for a 1-1 draw against Netherlands with Martinez saying he sat out the match because he wasn't 100% fit.

"He should be fine, it's just he wasn't 100 percent. He's got an important game at the weekend and this wasn't the game to use players who weren't 100 percent," said Martinez.

"We expect he should be fine in the next couple of days," he added.

The Red Devils travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to take on Chelsea in a Premier League early kick-off game.

The 30-year-old has made 11 appearances so far this season for Jose Mourinho's side, scoring once.
