Sserunkuma returns to haunt Express in Kitende
Vipers Sports Club and Express will be facing each other later on Tuesday afternoon in what is a do-or-die clash for both clubs at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
Both urgently need the win but for differing reasons; Vipers are looking to claim their third league title while the Red eagles are struggling to avoid relegation. They have only two games to achieve their goals.
The Venoms lead the league table with 59 points, two more than their only title rivals KCCA FC with both remaining with two games.
Express sit in the relegation zone with 28 points, one below safety.
Just like their standings, both sides enter the game with contrasting form. The venoms have won six of their last seven games with no single loss while Express has won none of their last four.
At Kitende, Vipers has won all their games this year, scoring two or more goals on the way. Express, on the other side, has not collected only three points from a possible 24 on the road.
Milton Karisa and Erisa Sekisambu scored for Vipers when they beat the Red Eagles 2-1 in the first round in December. Dan SSerunkuma who scored the consolation for the struggling side will be expected to partner with the two today as he turns guns on his former employers.
The two sides have met 24 times with Viprs winning eleven, eight draws and six victories for Express.
