Latest transfer update on Lanzini, Lindelof and Alderweired

The Premier League is over for another season and many clubs are set to bolster their squads in the summer.  Some clubs will be active before the World Cup starts as a number of players' price shoot due to their good display on the international level.

We take a look at latest transfer talks.

Manuel Lanzini

Coutinho left Premier League giants Liverpool back in January to join Barcelona for a club-record fee and now Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster his creativity in midfield. The German is reportedly planning to bring in West Ham playmaker Manuel Lanzini.

Lanzini scored five goals and made six assists last season as West Ham avoided relegation under David Moyes.

Riyad Mahrez

According to Evening News, Manchester City is monitoring Riyad Mahrez's contract situation at Leicester. The Leicester Mercury says the Blues remain interested in a move for the Algerian international and could make a move in the upcoming summer transfer window.

City has remained in contact with the Foxes regarding a deal ever since Mahrez saw a proposed move to the Etihad collapse in the January window. It is believed that the Blues made Leicester an offer of '£50m plus England youth international Patrick Roberts' for Mahrez earlier in the year - however, Claude Puel's side reportedly wanted £80m for the winger.

The 27-year-old has been a star performer for Leicester again this season and finished the Premier League season with 12 goals and 10 assists in the competition - becoming the only player to hit double figures for both goals and assists in two of the last three seasons.

Victor Lindelof

Manchester United signed Lindelof from Benfica last summer with Mourinho convinced he was the defensive signing they needed. However, the Sweden international has endured a difficult first season at Old Trafford.

Reports have suggested that Mourinho sought guarantees over Lindelof after just one month at United, such were his concerns over the defender’s ability.

Wolves, meanwhile, are preparing for life back in the Premier League, and TeamTalk says their first signing could be Lindelof with Mourinho mulling over whether to cut him loose.

Alex Sandro

According to The Times, the club could announce the signing of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro for around £50 million. The 27-year-old has long been a target for United who looks to have beaten Chelsea to the Brazilian’s signature.

Juventus are resigned to the player leaving having secured their seventh successive Serie A title last weekend. United have struggled to fill the left-back slot with Luke Shaw falling out of favor with Mourinho and Ashley Young dropping back from midfield.

Toby Alderweireld

According to Daily Mirror Alderweireld is being tracked by Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG as the uncertainty around his Tottenham future rumbles on. The Belgium defender has struggled to get back into Mauricio Pochettino’s team after returning from injury this season, and it is understood the contract dispute is causing friction to his relationship with the club.

He has two years left on his deal but has a £25m release clause which can be triggered in 2019 - and talks over a new contract have stalled.
