The government through the Assistant General Secretary in-charge of Technical matters at the National Council of Sports, David Katende Ssemakula, has commended FUFA for holding the maiden Football Summit.

The federation held the summit at the Serene Suites in Mutundwe on Monday with several stakeholders invited.

“As Government we’ve tried to inject in a lot of money in sports but as we all know, sports no longer relies on natural talent alone. Sports has changed so we need to apply technology from sports Science that is why we laud FUFA for this initiative where the technocrats come together to chart ways to use sports science to develop football,” said Katende.

FUFA is expected to compile the ideas from the Summit for further discourse by the Executive Committee and action.
