Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Mike Mururi lamented at his defenders’ handling of set pieces, after once again seeing his side beaten by a goal scored from a set piece, in the loss to Ulinzi Stars on Saturday 10th March at Bukhungu Stadium.

The coach was hoping his team can bag a win after the 1 – 3 loss to Nzoia Sugar in their previous game, but a late goal scored by Masita Masuta left Mururi scolding his team’s defensive output.

“We have conceded like three goals now from set pieces and it is very disappointing,” he said.

Working hard

“We have been working on it but, today we conceded in the same way again and went on to lose the game. We will not give up though, we will continue working hard to ensure we get our defence handles such better,” he said.

The coach is hoping for a return to winning ways, when his team takes on AFC Leopards in the next game.
