Were, Mariga, Gonzalez back in the national team
Paul Were, McDonald Mariga and Ismael Gonzalez are all back in the national team, Harambee Stars ahead of the friendly match against Comoros and Central African Republic in Morocco later in March.
Were, now based in Kazakhstan has been missing from the team for a while and gets the chance to cement his place, but Mariga and Gonzalez, both based in Spain have a chance to impress after being overlooked for a larger part.
With the departure of Paul Put, Stanley Okumbi steps in and he has made a number of big calls, leaving out Gor Mahia keeper Boniface Oluoch but calling up Farouk Shikhalo and also handing a first call to Eric Kapaito of Kariobangi Sharks.
