Express challenged to carry Cup form to Uganda Premier League
Express head coach, Shafiq Bisaso, hopes the team translates their blistering form witnessed in the Uganda Cup round of 64 to the league.
The Red Eagles spanked North East regional club, Kachumbala Rock Stars, 6-0 at Wankulukuku to confirm a place in the round of 32.
The club has struggled in the Uganda Premier League where they languish in the relegation zone with only three wins midway the season.
The coach released about ten players in the mid season transfer in a bid to boost their chances of survival. He insists that the record ten-time cup winners' priority is retaining their league status and not the cup.
He has urged his 'new-faced' arsenal to transfer the form to the league.
"Our main target is to do well in the league,Uganda cup wasn't the priority but we won [our first match]. We have been training so hard that's why their was an element of fatigue in the team. We managed to score many goals. I expect [the team] carries this form to the league for us to do well," Bisaso said.
