Rwanda's local-based stars completed their camp in Tunisia on Thursday morning after a 4-1 loss to Algeria in their last CHAN 2018 build up.

The Amavubi played three international friendly matches as part of their ten-day tour in Tunisia; losing to Algeria 4-1, a 1-all draw against Namibia and 0-0 with Sudan in a match that ended prematurely.

The team's head coach Antoine Hey is disappointed with the results but says they need to focus on the tournament that kicks off on Saturday 13th.

- Friendly matches don’t count anything for us at this moment in time, it’s the Monday match against Nigeria that we are focused on and this is when it counts, this is when we need to be ready and definitely, we will be ready. we can't wait to start our campaign, Hey noted.

Rwanda kicks off their group campaign on Monday 15th January against Nigeria before facing Equatorial Guinea on the 19th and Libya on the 23rd.
