Cecafa 2017: Uganda Cranes captain upbeat ahead of South Sudan clash

Uganda Cranes picked an uninspiring draw against Burundi in the opening game of the 2017 Cecafa on Monday in Kakamega Kenya.

The result leaves the defending champions in a compromising situation especially after Ethiopia’s 3-0 win over South Sudan.

Cranes’ captain, Bernard Muwanga, has said that the team will pick up the pieces and organize better after watching South Sudan’s game.

-We didn’t get the results we expected but did well in our recovery training to correct the mistakes. We had a chance to watch our remaining group opponents, so we expect a better result in our next game against South Sudan. This is a game we have to win, Muwanga said.

The teams take a rest on Wednesday and resume on Thursday; Uganda will be back in action on Friday.
