Denis Onyango kept another clean sheet for Mamelodi Sundowns as they thrashed Baroka FC 4-0 at the Lucas Moripe stadium to ascend to the apex of the Premier Soccer League.

Motjeka Madisha fired the Brazilians ahead in the third minute from the spot before Themba Zwane closed the first stanza with the second.

Youngster Percy Tau added a brace in the second half to seal the lead as Onyango managed to contain Baroka to pick maximum points.

The win lifted Sundowns to the top of the log with 19 points from ten games -three lesser than their close rivals.

In the other tie of the day, former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic was disappointed not to go top of the log following Orlando Pirates goalless draw with Supersport United.

The 0-0 result was the fourth for the team in the last ten outings. Orlando is second runners-up on the table with 19 points but down due to inferior goal advantage.
