AUPL: Kisala faults blunt striking force, complacency for goalless draw

Kefa Kisala has lauded his defense for keeping their backline clean in the goalless draw against Mbarara City FC on Tuesday.

The game was equally balanced with both sides posing danger on the opposite end.

Kisala started a new pairing of Musa Walangarira and Musa Mukasa at the heart of defense with Hassan Musana and Fred Agandu manning the left and right wing backs.

The coach was not impressed with Fred Agandu who started on the right full back position replacing Umar Mukobe who is injured.

- Our defense did well, it's our best department so far except our right full back (Fred Agandu) who looked a bit relaxed and we nearly conceded due to the complacency on his wing, Kefa said.

Kefa was forced to an early second half change, replacing his attacking midfielders Yunus Sibira, James Otim and Richard Wandyaka who was playing as a lone striker.

Wandyaka missed some clear cut chances which Kisala believes is due to his inactivity in preseason.

He has also promised to play a new set in the next game on Friday against Vipers SC away in Kitende.

- We were playing a lone striker, created chances but he failed to convert. Wandyaka did not go through proper preseason training because he spent most of the time chasing for his release from URA FC. We have to change our midfield in the next game and deploy a right back.
