Arsenal midfielder eyes exit

Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere has reportedly accepted that his time at the Emirates is coming to an end.

The 25-year-old was recently excluded from the squad which beat Leicester 4-3 on Friday, an unfortunate outcome which confirms that the Englishman is not in boss Arsene Wenger’s plans for the near future.

Wilshere, who is yet to fully recover from a leg fracture he sustained while on loan to Bournemouth last season, recently decided to train with Arsenal’s U-23 side in a bid to regain his fitness and fight for a place in Wenger’s squad.

It however appears that the midfield specialist has conceded defeat and is now resigned to moving to another top-tier side to revive his failing career. Premier League newcomers Newcastle United under chief Rafael Benitez are however rumoured to be ready to “rescue” the playmaker.
