Uganda U20 forward Azake Luboyera has joined United Soccer League side Ottawa Fury.

The club confirmed the new developments on Friday morning. The 19-year old impressed the club head coach Paul Dalglish after months of trials.

The coach expressed his satisfaction with their new signing and urged the youngster to maintain the form he has shown in training.

- Azake is someone who has a huge amount of potential and we believe in him. We’re really excited to bring him into our squad, Dalglish said.

The youngster is expected to feature for the club next weekend against Toronto II in the Eastern conference next week on Sunday at their TD Place stadium in Ontario.

- Even though he’s young, I think he can compete for minutes straight away. If he can translate the goal scoring ability and creativity that he’s shown in training into the game, then we’ll have a real prospect in our hands.

He has previously played for Nansana youth, Hans production and Edgars youth academies in Uganda before earning a chance to the reknopwned Aspire youth academy in Qatar.

He featured for Uganda U-20 against Rwanda in Afcon U20 qualifiers scoring two goals. He later returned to Ottawa where he has been playing in the junior ranks.
