Ugandan striker joins ZESCO United

Davies Kasirye has finally landed a new home after parting ways with DR Congo club Motema Pemba signing a two year pact with five-time Zambian champions Zesco United.

The striker landed the deal after long negotiations through his agents and recommendations by Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic.

The 23-year old signed a two season contract with the Congolese club but later opted out after (the club's) failure to fulfill some of their obligations. About Zesco The club was formed in 1974 and is fully owned by the state-owned electricity supplier Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation.

They are based in Northern Zambia and play their home games at the 50,000-seater Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. ZESCO boasts of five Zambian Premier League, four cup titles and Three Zambian Charity Shields. They have made five Caf champions league appearances including a semi final finish last year.
