Luwagga Kizito optimistic after joining Romanian side

Uganda Cranes midfielder, William Luwagga Kizito recently joined Romanian club Sportiv Municipal Politehnica Ia?i commonly known as Politehnica Ia?i.

The midfielder failed to command a position at Rio Ave in Portugal where he was on loan from Feirense.

He joined the club on July 1st after agreeing to a two year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2019. 

The 23-year old is optimistic that he will make a mark at the club and hit his heights again.

- So far everything is moving smoothly. The players and coaches are very friendly and i am just hoping for the best. It is my first time in Romania and Initially it was hard but i know it's because we were just starting training but i know will catch up. My main objective is to lift the team to a bigger stage and i hope the fans will support us, he said.

Also known as Poli Lasi, the club is just six years old having been founded on August 16th 2010.

The club host their matches at the Emil Alexandrescu Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Copou , Ia?i, Romania . The club finished tenth in the 14-team Liga 1 last season with 29 points from 26 games.
