Everton complete another major signing
The Toffees have successfully acquired defender Michael Keane from Burnley in a £25m deal.
The 24-year-old was unveiled by the up-and-comers on Monday, where he penned a £100,000-a-week contract a short while after Ronald Koeman’s side announced the acquisition of former Barcelona striker Sandro Ramirez from Malaga.
Keane was heavily linked with a move back to his former side Manchester United, but the centre-back interest in returning to Old Trafford ended after the English giants recently acquired Victor Lindelof from Benfica, which would have meant no guarantees of valuable playing time from boss Jose Mourinho.
The defensive specialist expressed his delight at joining Everton and revealed that Koeman greatly influenced his decision to move to Goodison Park. The former Manchester United ace further added that he hopes to continue his development as a player at his new club.
