Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis from Club Brugge.
Dennis was a regular for Brugge in their UEFA Champions League campaign. The club has since crashed out from the group stage as they failed to make the Round of 16.
The 22-year-old scored a cheeky backheel in Brugges 3-0 win against Mechelen in their Belgian League clash at the Jan Breydel stadion on Sunday night.
According to Punch quoting Yahoo.com’s Manu Lonjon, the Nigeria international was watched by Manchester scouts who were in attendance to get the first-hand performance of the player.
“Dennis (Brugge), already on the shelves in Leicester, was scouted this weekend by Manchester United,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
“He scored a splendid goal.”
The goal was Dennis’ third in the league this season in 13 games for Brugge this season.
