Wolves manager Nuno on Max Kilman: "He is ready for more Premier League games"

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo believes that defender Max Kilman proved himself when he made his league debut in the side's 1-1 draw to Sheffield United at the weekend.

The Premier League fixture was Kilman's first start in topflight since his days plying his trade for Maidenhead United - he has showcased a massive improvement in his game.

Nuno was quoted by The Express when he commented on the 22-year-old's full league debut: "He's ready.

"He's getting stronger, so let's keep on building."

Wolves were one goal down against Sheffield with Lys Mousset having opened the scoreline for the Blades -prior to this game, Wolves had secured their spot in the Europa League knockout stages.

Nuno heaped praises on his charges after putting on a fight against the Blades - this came after Matt Doherty scored the equaliser for his side in the second half.

"We're pleased because we played on Thursday in Braga – a very tough game against a Portuguese team with a good profile," said Nuno.

"It's a challenge for us to go from that to Sheffield United, with such intensity and direct football.

"Trying to grow through the competitions is the big challenge we have, and we have to compete again on Wednesday (against West Ham at home). We don't change.

"We didn't make subs as the team kept going until the end, everybody was fighting."
