English Premier League giants Manchester United have earmarked German Julian Nagelsmann as a future manager of the club.
According to the Daily Mail, the current RB Leipzig manager is not being considered currently since the club has faith in manager Ole Solskjaer but a future appointment has been muted should the club feel they want to do away with the Norwegian.
32-year-old Nagelsmann became the youngest manager in Bundesliga history when he was appointed by Hoffenheim at 28 in 2016; he was to pull them out of relegation to a top-four finish and has never looked back since.
Best Young Manager
Nagelsmann’s was appointed at Leipzig in June this year and is regarded as one of the best young managers in the game currently. His side sits fifth in a tightly contested Bundesliga and is just two points behind early leaders Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 32-year-old’s early promise has seen him earn the nickname ‘Baby Mourinho’, though any potential suitors are likely to have to wait for his services with Nagelsmann contracted to Leipzig until 2023.
He narrowly lost to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League tie last week where his side came from three goals down to draw level at Anfield only for Mohammed Salah to break their hearts.
