Kenyan Premier League leaders Gor Mahia is set to take on Tanzania side Alliance FC in a friendly match at Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo on Thursday 10 October.
The game is part of the team’s preparations as they prepare to face Kariobangi Sharks in their next league tie.
Gor is currently atop pf the KPL log after a 100% start to the season with Alliance FC occupying position tenth in the Tanzania top flight after recording just one win in their first five-game; the team has drawn three and lost one game in the process.
Gor forward Dickson Ambundo should be familiar with their opponents as he represented them last season before crossing over to Kenya where he has been one of the key members of the team.
Assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo is expected to oversee the game as head coach Steven Polack is on a one-week vacation and should return next week.
The team should learn about their CAF Confederations Cup this week this after being ousted from the Champions league by USM Algers.
