Ahead of their Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester City defender John Stones has resumed training.
The center-back missed the draw against Tottenham and the win against Bournemouth with a muscular problem but trained with his team-mates for the first time after his injury on Wednesday morning. In his absence, Pep Guardiola has started with Nicolas Otamendi and Aymeric Laporte at the back for City's last two league games.
In a press conference before the 3-1 win over Bournemouth last week, Guardiola provided an injury update on John Stones, "Not fit. We’ll see [for Brighton]." The City manager will hold his weekly press conference on Friday afternoon where he will be able to give an update on the availability of his players.
