After being linked with a number of their players in the summer transfer window, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has revealed that Manchester United were interested in Merih Demiral.
With United looking to offload Romelu Lukaku, Juventus were reported to be interested in the forward and had offered either of Paulo Dybala or Mario Mandzukic as part of the deal. Demiral had just joined Juventus on a five-year contract for €18 million back on July 5th, 2019, after a season with Sassuolo.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Paratici revealed that United made an inquiry for Demiral, "He is our player who has had the most deals on the market, don’t imagine how many. The Turk was requested by Milan but was also approached by Manchester United."
Report claim Juventus were demanding €40m for the defender, which would have doubled their investment as soon as he arrived.
